Are you finding life too hard? Can't keep up with all the demands on you. Can't stand the thought of going to work another day? Can't cope with any more study? Can't deal with that person or situation another minute? Well, you're not alone. Millions of people feel like this at some time or other. That's because life is hard. Make no mistake - it's not meant to be easy. And if you have come into this world with baggage from a past life it will be hard. But you need to know that there is always a way to get through it.
Some of you reading this now may be feeling really depressed. Take heart, things can get better. Even if your situation cannot change, it is possible to change how you feel about it.
The first thing to do is to RE-INVENT. Re-invent your life. Sit down with a nice hot or cool drink and think about what you would like your life to be like. For example, "I would like to be finished with my studies and working at a great satisfying job." Or, "I would like to be free to make my own decisions about life." Or "I would like to be a best-selling writer instead of a check-out girl." Write it down. Whatever you write needs to be what you REALLY want. And by this I mean, do not try to recapture the past - it's gone. Look at whatever is the best for you in the future. Don't worry at this stage whether it's possible. Just write as if it is. Write it down 10 times. Then write it down again but instead of saying "I would like to" say "I am willing to .....". Write this 10 times. Think about how this feels compared to the first list. Now change "I am willing to .....". to "I am..." and write this out 10 times, neatly, on a fresh piece of paper. Make it a large piece and write this down in the middle.
Now rummage through your old magazines and find pictures that could represent YOU in your new situation. Cut these out and to make them more realistic cut out a portrait of your self to put in place of any person's head you may have used for your collage. Make sure you include everything that would make up your new life and stick these pictures all around the rest of the large piece of paper.
This collage is your new manifesto. Stick it up somewhere prominent where you will see it several times a day. Whenever you look at it absorb the content and read aloud what you have written - all ten lines.
The second thing to do is SIMPLIFY. Simplify your life, take away as much of the unnecessary aggravation and clutter as you can, and this will make things clearer. Start with physical clutter. Go through all your cupboards and sell, give or throw away anything you haven't used in the past year. Be ruthless. Of course keep things that are valuable, irreplaceable or have great sentimental value. Then go through your life as it is and get rid of chores and habits that are holding you back. Write down what your normal day is like - hour by hour. Cross out those things you really do not have to do. Highlight what you could delegate. Underline bad habits to give up. Stop doing anything that is not to your absolute benefit. Whatever it takes to clear the way for the NEW YOU. Then organise your life so that it is simplified. Giving you clarity and more time to do the things you really want.
The third thing is to ACT THE PART. Pretend you are a child again, and become totally absorbed in your play acting. Dress the part. Speak the part. Feel the part (most important). For example, if you want to greatly improve your financial situation go to the local charity shop and look for the kind of clothes rich people might have worn. Buy them and wear them. Buy costume jewelery that looks like what rich people would wear. Wear it. Have a look at photos and movies of rich people. Copy how they walk and talk, absorb their confidence. And most importantly, when you act the part, feel it. Feel rich, feel successful. And in time your situation will change. Have patience, it takes time for the heavy physical energies to catch up with the super quick energies of thought and feeling.
I know many of you will have read this far and thought "It'll never work - I've already tried everything" or "It's too hard - nothing will change". Do yourself a favour. Just try it. Try it for a week. It won't do any harm. Just remember that things will only change if you are willing. Are you willing? If you are, just say "I am willing for my life to change for the better." Say it as many times as you can. You may be surprised how this can shift how you feel. Just say to yourself "What's the worst that can happen if I try this?" Then get stuck in and have fun play acting your new life. Good luck!
